There are 20+ children and teens on the waiting list to be mentored. If you have a heart to see a young Life Transformed and interested in this ministry, please talk to Pastor Joseph. He will send you to some special training and assign you to a young refugee who is eager for direction. Meet Nathan Schwarz, Y.Y.A Coordinator

Save Our Youth YYANathan is a Colorado Native who has traveled 9 months for missionary work. A Young man with a big heart for the least of these. His unique background of having Somali siblings makes him a leader with first-hand experience.

Nathan is, currently, a student at Colorado Christian University (CCU). Nathan is leading the effort to reach out to the American Youth, students in particular. The desire is to bring together the Born-American and the Newcomers, offering them a unique opportunity for mutual learning and exchange.

In his role as Coordinator, Nathan facilitates the weekly Refugee Youth & Young-adults recreational activities, coordinates the work of the YYA volunteers, the YYA involvement in The Sojourners Christ’s Church and makes sure all the Ministry logistical needs are met.
